Weighed Down

Makes sense. And apparently this is mentioned in the guide book? So good job Nintendo for using logic in a Mario game.

  1. I kind of wonder this while playing any games in which you collect things–guns (or rocket launchers… I guess they shrink to pocket-size?), treasure, bananas… where are they keeping all of it?

    1. You dont want to know… trust me! ;)

    2. i dunno. i keep forgetting to ask.

    3. You have just stumbled upon the darkest secret in the history of gaming: hammerspace.

    4. Really deep pockets. Or they borrowed an expanding spell for their wallets and purses.

      1. Actually this is a common cartooning trick known as the magic satchel. It is used in games like the legend of zelda, pokemon, and more.

        1. Well in Pokemon he’s shown to have a backpack. Maybe it’s a scientific backpack that functions like Kirby’s mouth,in the way that it leads to it’s own dimension so it can hold anything and everything.

    5. really really really reallllly deep pockets

    6. The fix-all Bag O’ Holding!

    7. All these things are keeping in the Hammerspace, :P

    8. Same place Tweety Bird and Jerry keep anvils and frying pans: Hammerspace.

    9. dont get me started on link who knows how he does it

      1. I know it’s a month later, but according to the art from the manual for the original Legend of Zelda, he does it like this: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v39/studiojfish/inspiration/link-items.jpg

        :-)

Yeah! Just where DOES Peach summon Toad from in Smashies?

    11. Its just a hunch, but I think that this is why toad hats are so big, given they aren’t actually biologicaly attached and there heads aren’t very big.

    12. I just want all of you to know that you’re hilarious. Thank you.

    13. villager pockets, they can fit sharks in ’em whole

      1. Yeah, but it’s RIDICULOUS to try to put them in a letter.

    14. Well, Captain Toad and Toad are different people so…And Captain Toad is red, while Toad is blue mario 3D world.

  2. But… but… *Captain* Toad in 3D World couldn’t jump either…

    1. That’s what I was thinking. I don’t even own a wii u, but I sampled the game and knew that

      1. Also, if he can’t jump and is slow…

HOW DOES HE GET FROM THE MUSHROOM KINGDOM TO THE MOON KINGDOM AS FAST AS THE ODYSSEY!?!?

OOOOOOOOOO! IDEA! Maybe one of the treasures he found was an Arwing!

    2. Yeah! Unless you became his character…
But you could be the other Toad and jump on him
      I finished 3D world so

  3. Another reason he can’t jump is because this was originally going to be a zelda game. The idea was ultimatley taken away by Eiji Ayunuma because it didn’t feel enough like zelda. The pitched levels were featured in 3D world, and the rave over them interested Nintendo enough to make a full game.

  4. Timelord technology.

    1. OMYGOSH!!!!!! I love DW! I wish Game Theory would do a vid on that!

  5. Well, actually it was mentioned to be exactly like you showed here in “The Cat Mario Show – Episode 9” (watching the German Dub “Die Katzen-Mario-Show Folge 9”), viewable at the eShop

  6. LOL I like the last panel when GC is smiling at his bro like “Yeah. I just blew your mind”

  7. Go, Toad! You can make it!

  8. Poor toad

  9. It’s a video game from Nintendo, Not much makes sense.
