Break Update!

Hey guys, I guess an update is long overdue, huh?

Firstly I want to apologize for how long I’ve been silent. I didn’t intend to be quiet for so long. I might as well just be upfront and say that I burned out hard on the comic and I really needed to get some distance, so it was difficult to come back and make any kind of update posts (especially with nothing to update with). I have done an update or two with my Patreon and I have been keeping up with the monthly wallpapers there, but otherwise things have been mostly quiet.

I’m afraid I’m not ready to return to updates yet. I really don’t want to start grinding at the comic again if I can’t put genuine feeling into it, as it will result in poor comics and only add to the burn out. I realize this is super disappointing and I really am touched that this comic means so much to people. I’m genuinely sad that I can’t update it like I used to, but it just isn’t possible right now.

On the plus side, my health has improved significantly since I lessened my workload. I’m not in nearly as much pain as I used to be, and it’s been very rejuvenating to expand and try new things. I’m also learning how to work within my new limitations. Overall I’m doing much better now than how I started the year off.

I want to say another big thank you to everybody that enjoys this comic. All of the love and support over the years is truly what kept it going for so long. I’m not ready to call it “over” just yet, but I won’t be making more right now. I hope you can understand.

Regarding Volume 3, I wasn’t able to make enough progress on it to do the Kickstarter this year. Shipping rates always increase in January and I keep getting burned by it, not to mention all the production mistakes and delays that happen during the holidays, so I’ve decided to postpone it instead of trying to rush it to print.

Again, I’m sorry for going quiet for so long, there just really wasn’t anything to share. If you have any further questions, feel free to toss them at me here! I’ll pop in now and then to answer when I can.

  1. Your comic is amazing, you did such a great job for such a long time, please take all the time you need, and it’s even ok if you feel like never put other addition to gamercat, as sad as it would be to not have new adventure, your years worth of work are always a real pleasure to read again, so please don’t be hard on yourself!!

    Love from france

    1. Thank you very much :) I am very proud of how long I kept a consistent update schedule and I’m glad the existing comics are still fun to look back on. I do hope I feel up to adding more in the future after a rest.

      1. take a break. You deserve it! :)

      2. Tyler Christianson

I have been reading the GamerCat comic series for a while now, and I’ve been curious about one thing in particular about the characters. Does GamerCat have a crush on Pixel, and he’s trying to find the most efficient and effective way of hiding it? Or am I just clueless about why GamerCat keeps trying to pick up girls?

    2. I agree. This comic combines 2 of my favorite things: Cats and Video Games.

  2. take care of yourself first, that is the most important objective. Thank you for making such a beautiful comic and allowing us to live in the world of gamer cat, and if the burn dissipates then awesome, if not, well then that’s fine too. You are awesome, your comic is awesome, take care of yourself. :)

    1. Thank you!! I really appreciate the support and I’m glad to hear you would still look fondly on the comic ^^

  3. Without you there wouldn’t even be a GaMERCaT, so take good care of yourself first!! The comic can wait indefinitely :3 Thank you for this update and I’m glad to hear your health has improved! ^ u^

    1. I’ll do my best! Thank you for your patience on it, it’s very much appreciated!

      1. Powerpuffrailfan121

I’m a huge fan of the comic, but health is more important, so I’ll stay as patient as I can. However, if you’re looking for an idea for your next comic, then may I please make a suggestion? Why don’t you do one where the gang is talking about the full-dive VR system from Sword Art Online?

  4. Health and sanity come first. I am more than content to reread what you already have out and know you are doing better. Hope you start to feel even better!

    1. Thank you! I’m glad you can re-read the comics and enjoy them!

  5. However much we miss you first of all take care of yourself. Thank you for the update!

    1. Thank you!

  6. Wow I didn’t know any of that. What happened to your health? You mentioned “limitations”. Love the comic and bought both volumes. Rest now and we will be here excited for your return.

    1. I don’t like to talk about it, but I have a degenerative condition and it gets harder and harder to work longer hours as I get older. I’ve had to scale back on a lot of things in recent years. It can be hard to accept sometimes, but that’s life.

  7. Take your time, we’ll be here! Glad you’re feeling better. ^_^

    1. Thank you!

  8. We can’t really blame you, you deserve the break. Keep feeling better!

    1. I appreciate that! The break has been great after so many years :)

  9. Take you time, we will be waiting for your great comics ^_^

    1. Thank you ^^

  10. You need to take care of your health and wellness first and foremost. While I have enjoyed this comic I would rather know that the creator is taking care of themself than have them feel forced to create something they just don’t have a passion for.

    1. Thank you for understanding, it’s so nice to hear so many people are concerned about my well being! It’s really appreciated <3

  11. Take care and don’t think too much about here your health comes first we can cope and if we get desperate we can always reread the comics you’ve already made .

    1. Thank you, I’m glad the existing comics can keep you entertained in the mean time ^__^

  12. This is my favourite comic…
And if you feel burned out and feel you need time, take your time

    1. Thank you for that, I really appreciate it ^^

  13. I’m sorry that you are not feeling great. If it can cheer you up, here is a picture of my nephew with my favorite webcomic cat buddies: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1KmSdeBLgooNJYartVZJT6L4eRJG1e2Ke/view?usp=drivesdk

    1. That picture is extremely adorable! It definitely made me smile, thank you for sharing it! :)

  14. So happy to hear your health has improved! :D

Thank you for all the comics you’ve already made (not just this one, but also Strays which I really enjoyed reading) and, while I hope you do feel like making new GaMERCaT comics someday, if not I’m grateful I stumbled across your site and found him while he lasted. I will always be a fan of that cool cat! ;)

    1. Thank you! It’s great that you enjoyed Strays too, I miss that comic sometimes. I’m sure I’ll pick Gamercat up again at some point, I just need a good break for now, so I’m hesitant to speak any kind of return date that I can’t keep.

      1. Hey, maybe at some point you could continue Strays! I feel like the ending still had some loose ends, so I’d love to see more! But only when your ready, because your health is more important than a comic.

        1. I just finished reading strays and I agree that there are some loose ends and unexplained things.

  15. I’m a Chinese fan of your masterpiece,It’s been a couple of year since I followed this comic. This is the one and only comic that I followed every single week, though this comic is a little bit niche around me,but I have managed to persuade some subscribes.the gamercat can represent me in some ways.I will always remember the excitement every update gave me.I hope you can get well soon.We all love you.

    1. Wow, thank you for following along with every single update! I know that can be hard with all the things going on in one’s life (I can’t always keep up with the things I follow either). Thank you for sharing it and for your excitement for it!

  16. *points to avatar* OH THANK GOD YOU’RE ALIVE! ;A; My buddy Jimmy and I were JUST wondering how you were doing. We know you work insanely hard on GamerCat and have no issue with you taking a break, but the extended silence had us a little worried for your well being. Glad to hear you’ve improved healthwise. You’ve nothing to fear, your fans will always be here whenever you feel ready to come back. Thank you again for keeping us posted and continue to keep taking care of yourself. =^-^=

    1. I’m sorry to worry you! I meant to post an update sooner, but July was an extremely busy month for me and things got a bit overwhelming. Everything has calmed down now though and I realized an update was overdue at this point. I feel bad I don’t have anything new to share, but the support and understanding has been so nice <3 Thank you!

      1. It’s a relief to me to. I was wondering what happened and glad to hear your all right. Thank heavens. Gamercat is a great comic and hope you continue to improve your health.

  17. Take as long as you need. Most comics don’t update weekly, and most aren’t of such quality. We can survive a little hiatus.

Hope you feel better soon! I’ve been following your comic since 2013 and been loving it for these past 6 years. This and Strays were the first webcomics I got into, sparking my interest in them and leading me to so many great stories and communities. Without you I don’t know if I’d have found so many other wonderful artists and stories to follow, so thanks.

  18. “I realize this is super disappointing…”
No, it’s not disappointing! On the contrary, it’s great news that you are feeling better, and that you prefer doing things slow and with good quality, instead of rushing. Remember: taking care of yourself should always be top priority! :-)

    1. ^^^ THIS. I agree with Denilson’s post 1000% and no, the extra 0 isn’t a typo!

  19. I just wanna ask, what is your favorite game franchise at the moment? Also I know I already said this on Facebook, but please take care of yourself, get the rest you need, and get better soon, m8. =)

  20. Never fails, I find a comic I like, binge it, and within 2 weeks its over lol ><

I hope you do find the fuel to do more, but regardless, it's been a great job.

  21. I really miss Gamercat, but your health comes first. Maybe the first comic you post when you’re feeling up to it could have them all coming back from vacation (which could explain their absence!), and having to catch up on all the games they have missed.
Hope to see you back on here soon!

  22. I first heard of gamercat when I was looking at splatoon pictures and I instantly thought “why have I not seen this before?” so I looked it up and read all your comics from the start. I even got my friends in to it! We are all so happy you are feeling better and I hope you make the most of your life :)
(I would love it f you did a mario maker 2 comic when your better)

    1. Thank you so much for all of the gamercat comics

  23. Oh but we don’t mind if you don’t do any more because your life, health and well being is much more important that a weekly online comic. If we are bored we can just put down our I pads, switch of out computer and put away our phones. Go out side, have some fun! Go to the zoo with you FAMILY. To be honest that says more about gamercat that the games do. We have all grown to love this funny comic but we can live without it. Don’t worry Celesse we all think you are so brave and amazing! :)

  24. I’ve never commented on anything before but I’ve read GC for years now and while I miss the comic I’m relieved that you’re not killing yourself, literally and figuratively, anymore and that you’re taking the time to heal yourself. All my love and best wishes for you, now and always!
You have such a huge fanbase that if you wanted to you could invite some guest artists and just post GC “fanfic” once in a while, but that’s just a suggestion and maybe kinda secretly a wish lol
    <3

  25. Ok. Take your time. It’s your comic and I’m not paying you so if you don’t want to do it you don’t have to. I’d love to see more of your comics wether it’s gamercat or a new IP but I don’t want anyone to suffer for their work. Thanks for the great read and I hope everything goes your way in the future!

  26. I love this comic so much, I started to watch them since 2015

  27. gamercat since 2012

    NOW I TAKE THIS YEAH
NOBODY KNOWS THIS THING, AND THIS COMIC ARE FINISHED NOW
i have to take the red bandana cat overxploit drawing to my avatar i have this nickname since 2012 and i search this in google and apear this comic

anything, your comic it was cool and this nickname ARE NOT ORIGINAL

    tank you for this comic

don’t take it badly, this is just a constructive criticism

  28. go get MORE rest sweet heart~we will waiting for it! there is little fans from china

  29. Hey Celesse. Sam L aka Ookami.
Huge fan really kicking myself for not checking last week for this update.
I can relate to health issues and needing time off. My health failed in 2016 to the point that I almost lost my job. (I was rushed to the hospital and my gallbladder removed due to infection) By 2017 when I thought my health was returning, I got a double whammy. Doctors diagnosed me with Autoimmune disorder which explained why medication wasn’t curing my infection and now I had a mass that was in my leg that could either be cancer or a severe infection plus my liver was now having complications. I lost my job sept 2017 and now had to figure out my health issues. The mass was an infection and I had to circulate between 3 antibiotics plus steroids for almost 3 months and that caused more complications for my liver. It took me until 4 weeks ago to finally get back to working.
So take your time, your fans are here and wishing you a quick recover.

  30. you just keep up having a good time celest because if i made comic’s for years i would like to take a extended vacations if i were you.

also just a extra why not just try making one comic every 2 weeks or however you want to do because just remember you got a LOT of people hoping you get better for your health

  31. We love your comic, take as much time as you need to get better. We can wait!

  32. Hey, just wanted to say how much I admire your comics (GaMERCaT and Strays) and that you’ve really inspired me to draw more with your how to draw manga and chibis book when I was 8. I’ve been following this comic for years now and I’m so glad your health has gotten better. I’m not really sure what else to put here, because just wow. Thanks for being an example of knowing when to take a break for health and otherwise :)

  33. TAKE YOUR TIME! As a fellow artist, I know how bad burnout can be. I didn’t draw for almost 2 years one time due to stress and burnout. I eventually got back into the swing of things, and I hope you do as well eventually. Take your time and rest up. I for one, will gladly welcome you back when you are ready.

  34. It is very important to take a break once in a while. I’ll patiently await the next page of the comic in the meantime.

  35. Sorry, I’m late to the party, but: thanks for all the great work you’ve done, and take your time and take care of yourself. Also, I look forward to reading more of your comic once you feel better and able to continue.

  36. First and foremost if there’s anything I learned is that making sure you yourself are okay is always priority #1. So while I do heartily enjoy your comic and often find this is the one I link to people, your own health comes first. In my opinion at least, you have nothing to apologise for. Thank you for all you’ve given up to this point, it’s been quite a hilarious ride. But thank you for taking care of yourself first.

  37. At least you keep us updated. Some people just stop and don’t bother letting their fans know. If you decide to end the series or continue it that’s up to you! I’ll check in every so often to see how your doing and I’ll respect you one way or the other! Thanks for the great comic! It was an excellent read!

  38. Feel free to take as long of a break as you need. Your health comes first no matter what! I look forward when more amazing comics come out!

  39. powerpuffrailfan121

I have an idea for the next comic: the full dive system from sword art online!

  40. To Celesse
If and when You are ready to come back, The fans will love you for waiting until YOU are ready.
take all the time you need, and I, as a fan, will be here waiting for the when you will come back.
Even if you come back to say that Gamercat is over, then It will be worth it to know that you, the creator, felt like that was the right choice.
I hope you enjoy your vacation, and also, thank you for Gamercat.

  41. Hey Celesse, you should publish The GaMERcaT on gocomics.com! It’ll bring a boost to the strip, as there are a lot of users on gocomics!

    1. Yeah! Great idea Moothu!

  42. take all the time you need, my dude

  43. Celeese, take as much time as you need. Heath is important, and if you’re feeling bad, take a break! Draw when you feel like it, and jot down any new ideas. Go through the comments once in a while! We’re all here supporting you, so don’t feel bad for being burned out. Oh, and thank you for all your hard work. Sayonara for now!

  44. I really enjoy your comics, when ever I am not felling well, I read them, feel better soon!

  45. This is a strange first comment, but I think that it fits well with the feel good vibe here.
Anyway, I’m glad to hear that you are ok! I know, I know, I’m late. But hey, better late then never.
I know that I speak for a lot of people when I say that we can wait for anything new (Not sure how to write that, hope it makes sense).
I hope you get better and find that drive again, no matter how long that may take. :)

  46. Hey guys, I guess an update is long overdue, huh?

    1. Honestly ending at 300 comics is still a lot of comics whoa :O
I just want to say that no matter what’s happened, you’ve left a real mark on the internet and Gamercat has had a serious impact. Well done!
Hope you do well, good luck with everything :D

    2. Celesse, nice gravatar!

  47. I’ll keep coming to this website after you DIE just to remind myself of all the good times I had reading this comic. this is amazing and you totally deserve a break.

  48. Take a break as long as you need too, Celesse :3 I miss GC and if you will allow guest comics I have an idea or two (or three or so ;)) Your comics are amazing and you were one the the webcomic artists that inspired me to continue creating my own after three years. Thank you!

    1. When I read your comment I saw GC and went “GalaxyCarmel?” (Which is my sister’s username btw). Then I realized that you had ment GaMERCaT and I felt dumb.

  49. I think many would also be happy if you only create some less comics over the years, only when you want it, for example on xmas or for a other event you want to do something.

Bit this are only ideas, nothing more. Because of my own health i also get very fast burned out. I even couldn’t do it that long you did this comic. So I know this problems too well.

And thanks for your Comic, really loved it.

  50. Thank you for the update! It’s always nice to have news! Take as long as you need or whatever you want to do! We’ll be here when you decide on what to do.

  51. How much longer do you plan on going on break?

  52. But take a break you earned it

  53. How are you feeling? I hope your health has improved even more! You should always take a break so that your body doesn’t break down. It’s fine to want to try and make everybody happy in your personal life and your fan base, but always remember that YOU are the most important person in your life and you need to take care you before anyone else! Have fun and we’ll be here waiting for you even if it takes over a year. ^_^

  54. I just want to say, I’ve enjoyed every single one of these comics and I miss them dearly. I totally understand that burnt-out feeling as well, though, and appreciate that you have to do what’s best for you. I just wanted you to know that I have and will continue to hold this comic close to my heart, and will be very excited if and when you choose to return to it. Thank you for making such a special set of kitties!

  55. Hey Celesse, you should publish The GaMERcaT on gocomics.com! It’ll bring a boost to the strip, as there are a lot of users on gocomics!

  56. ITS BEEN 2 YEARS!!! I NEED CUTE GAMER CAT COMICZZ PLSSS DELIVER! do a team fortress 2 or CS:GO gamer cat poster or comic plssss.

  57. *internal incoherent chaotic anger* please make comics of gamer cat c0mics, i have depression.

  58. Do you like having fan art made after your comic?

  59. I am very grateful for all the comics you have written and wish you a speedy recovery. If you decide not to publish any more comics, the last one is a good conclusion. I wish you that you find something that does not stress you and where you really have fun :). Thanks for all the comics you published for us.

  60. Hi I just wanted to say I love your comics and reread them almost every day. I check everyday to see if there is any updates and hope to see you back in action

    1. I check in almost every day too. Not that I’m rushing you Celesse! 300 comics is a good place to end at if you can’t continue! (Im sorry if this doesn’t sound like sympathy, it is though) 300 is better than what I stopped at which was… 5 I think… and they weren’t even readable so I had to put what it said in the description… I finished my new strip but now I need to post it at some point in my life…

  61. I fell in love with this comic the moment i came across my first one. This has been so special to me and im glad to have had the chance to go on this journey with GamerCat! Please take as much time as you need. Whether or not you come back is irrelevant. You do you. Take care of yourself. In the meantime, im sharing these comics with like everbody I know. XD

  62. I know your health is more important BUUUT…I miss gc! Please post a comic soon!

  63. Just found this comic and binge through it all. I loved it so much.

Hope you’re taking good care of yourself!

  64. I hope you feel inspired again soon! Maybe just update once in a while when inspiration strikes so it’s fun again. Best wishes!

  65. Have you ever played Deemo before, Celesse? It’s very inspiring (to me at least) its a tap to the rhythm game it cost a couple of bucks (more or less depending which platform your using) its available on the IOS, Android, Nintendo switch, And the PS Vita. and the creators are working on making a version for the PS4 and compatible with the PS4 VR. (and yes I look up a ton of stuff about this game)

  66. if you ever need a laugh try watching flamingo on youtube do roblox admin trolling its really funny

  67. Take as much time as ya need we’ll all be waiting

  68. Hope you’re doing well. Looking forward to more of Gamercat’s antics.

  69. I’m still waiting for your great comics. It little sad without them! Did you try listening music? When I’m writing I change music according to what is going on in my book – sometimes I need Blackmoore’s Night or Enya, sometimes Enigma or E Nomine. Try different type of music, maybe you will find your muse! :)

    1. I draw a lot and listen to music when I am drawing, and depending on what I’m drawing, I’ll listen to different types of music. Music can be very inspiring! <3

  70. I hope things are okay on your end. Just letting you know we miss you but please continue to take the time you need. Love your art style and can’t wait to see what you do next!

  71. So I was at Walmart today, I saw a monopoly game. All I could think about was that one comic with glitch holding it up with his cute lil smile, and GC, Pixel, and Sweet just flying to the 4 corners. Definitely put a smile on my big goofy mug. Thnx for making my day today. Even if you didn’t know you were.

  72. hello celesse! I’m a big fan of your gamer cat comics and i would hate to see them go! you fill me with happiness whenever a new comic drops and i just love the humor and thought you put into each one of them. i hope you are doing well with your break and can’t wait to see more of gamer cats shenanigans!

  73. You neeeeed to stay home and get rest if you don’t this comic would be dull but nobody on this earth could make comics as good as you and thank you this gamer cat community to y’all are really super nice to the creator and other fans which is hard to come bye these days.

  74. Does anyone know if she’s okay? I haven’t heard anything in quite some time.

    1. She still posts pretty regularly on her twitter @celesse :)

      1. is there C O M I C S on her twitter?

  75. idk……

  76. Celesse,I’m not trying to rush you but,it would be nice if you could start doing comics again after Christmas.it’s okay if you can’t do any comics then,Health first,Comics second.😄

  77. I don’t like how some people are being no sympathetic I understand some people are being like you don’t have post comics if you want but guys as a group let’s all cheer her on and support her so yeah have a nice day gamercat uwu.

  78. I’m starting to get a little worried about celesse. she has been silent since september and i am a little concerned…

  79. I dont know exactly what happened to celesse to make her stop making comics. All I know she got sick and stopped making comics. Is that just it or is it a disease?

  80. I’m worried too. :(

  81. I know she post regularly on Twitter @celesse

  82. Hi celesse if your reading this do you plan on making more
Gamer cat comics in the future or still not sure? Just curious on gamecat comics for the future

  83. Are you ok ATM

  84. Celesse, you good? Just here to say Happy Halloween, Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year. I hope you’re doing just fine so far. you don’t have to keep on making comics if you no longer wish to. I just hope you’re alright with whatever you’re doing. I jist hope you’re alright in general, and happy and healthy. Please take care of yourself, and put priority over yourself. From a simple fan. Your comics are among the greatest.

  85. i think i have found the real GaMERCaT. my grandparents got a new kitten and when i play games at my grandparents house it just sits next to me and watches me play so i think i found the real GaMERCaT

  86. Corrine Blackwright

I think we can all agree a webcomic is dead if the hiatus reaches one year without posting. (Break updates don’t matter unless they were posted in the last 3 months)

  87. Hey hope your doing well, we will all b waiting if you ever return, i check every few days just to check, take your time and I hope your feeling well

  88. I just stumbled upon Gamercat in the past couple weeks, I LOVE the comic. Sorry to hear you’ve not been feeling well, and glad to hear your getting better. It is understandable to need a break from things, even if it IS something you really enjoy. Personally I hope you feel even better soon, and whenever you start back up with more Gamercat, I’ll be here to read ’em. : D Even if it is many more months away :)

  89. Hey I found out about your comics about 2 years ago. I recently remembered them. I decided to check up on what happened there was a lot more amazing comics to explore. I love your work and really want more. But you should take as long as you want to get back into it. You deserve it. PS I hope you are doing well.

  90. And then, gamercat and his friends went to game in the giant living room in the sky

  91. Oh you mean heaven?

  92. I think it’s safe to assume we’ve been abandoned and forgotten.

  93. Don’t give up yet! She last posted…. oh never mind, we’ve been abandoned.

  94. I’m disappointed. Samantha was an artist that I really looked up to. Celesse, you were one of the comic creators that inspired me to create my own and continue posting on my website (which I haven’t uploaded to in three years)

    1. Sigh. I just wish she’d post SOMETHING, ANYthing to let us know if she really has retired the Gamercat series. It’s fine if she has, but it would be good PR (that’s public relations) for her to say so on a site that’s been frequented by loyal readers of her comics – some of us read Strays too and, at least with Strays, she posted the last comic and said a nice farewell instead of just leaving without so much as a “by your leave” nor even a “kiss my foot”! I’ve checked her Facebook and Twitter feeds but she hasn’t said anything there about Gamercat either. Come on, Celesse! Say SOMEthing! :(

  95. I remember just learning about your comic about a year ago, and I’m imporessed with how far youve come. I have been interested in making comics for a small amount of time, but I never had an idea to build on, and what youve done is just inspiring. Putting yourself out there just takes so much bravery and it’s nothing short of impressive. I can understand how you might take a step away from this comic, as it must have seemed as though you were just running through comics and taking a break is totally acceptable, but I still think that you shoud give us somthing to tell us that you haven’t totally given up on the comic.

  96. Just to post this here as well… I noticed that there is a “general update” on her patreon. But it is locked behind a $1 pledge. Idk how to cancel a pledge, or I’d pay the dollar to view the update, then cancel. No idea what the update says but it may answer everyone’s questions.

  97. I got no money

    1. Me neither. Let alone Patreon. :(

      1. She posted an “open” Update in March:

        Mar 24, 2020 at 8:19 PM
        Pawsed!

So it’s time for another break update. I’ll cut to the chase for anyone who doesn’t want to read a lot – I’m going to remain on indefinite hiatus for now. I really have no idea when I’ll start again.

I know this is disappointing, and I’m sorry. I was really hoping that as I got closer to the 1 year mark for the break that I would feel like returning. I’m pretty sure I’ll eventually get back there, I just need to stay “pawsed” for now, especially with all the extra stress and anxiety from what’s currently going on in the world.

Regarding the Patreon, please feel free to suspend your pledge if you want to. I can’t close/suspend the Patreon without blocking access to everything and losing the grandfathered account, but I know money is getting tight as the economy goes downhill and I’m not currently active with the comic, so it’s totally understandable. I am still doing monthly wallpapers for the $5 tier for now though, so if you dig those they’ll be around for a while. That being said, The $1 tier is set as a general tip jar and I greatly appreciate anyone that is still supporting me as an artist. It really does mean a lot to me, so thank you!

Finally, I still intend to print Volume 3, but I’m pretty sure I won’t be able to do it this year. There are so many restrictions in place – both from tariffs and now because of Covid19 – and everybody is tightening their belts anyway, so it’s probably better to hold off on a Kickstarter for now. But I’ll try to do it sooner if possible.

I’m still active online otherwise, so if you want to follow me and my general art you can find me on Twitter at @celesse. I know it’s pretty different in style from Gamercat, but it’s there if you’re interested!

  98. I agree with the general view here that if the comic’s done then it’s done. Sad to see it go. But if so there NEEDS to be a message stating so. I could “totally” live with the comic ending here, with the picture of them dumping their consoles and running off to play outside. Very Calvin and Hobbes as an ending imo. It should *not* end as Three Chord Dorks did, with the author announcing that the comic will end after some episodes down the road, then a forever-long wait and then the site shut down. Please just post a goodbye-note and we’re all off the hook!

  99. is the comic dead

    1. Looks like it. :(

      1. NU!!!!!!! :'(

        1. THERE IS HOPE!! My theory is that she is working with Algi (Algi worked with Celesse to make Strays) The Strays website was no longer working, so maybe their fixing it. That’s just my theory though :( so the comic might be dead after all

  100. I have read the information you have shared with us and I found its very interesting.

  101. I am waiting for this update for a long and finally it’s here!

  102. awesome stuff, tnx a lot

  106. Any update with her? I love her ideas and her comic books. I hope she’s fine.

  107. SADDDDDDDDDDDDDDd :(

    yeah me too

  108. Well I guess we shouldnt worry to much. She has been active on twitter Big time. I think it safe to say that she might have just not wanted to post anymore comics. But still. MAN those pictures she makes are cute.

  109. Alice (Darling Vexa)

Your new site layout looks awesome!

  110. Lucario (Master of Aura)

Is it just me, or are the dates off by 2 months?

    1. Lucario (Master of Aura)

      Oh- that one’s fine

  111. yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay

  112. A bit late but I want to say I love your comic.

  113. play soul knight on pc

It’s your comic, and I’m not paying you, so don’t feel obligated to do it. I’d like to see more of your comics, whether they’re for Gamercat or for a new IP, but I don’t want anyone to suffer because of their work. Thank you for a fascinating read, and I wish you luck in the future!

  114. João henrique brazil

i’ve waited too long i’ve had enough we’ll all be back as soon as i post a new comic Goodbye!! >:(

    1. Lucario (Master of Aura)
