      he lived in the trash can SEEN HERE and started playing pokemon on his gameboy (after he found it had been thrown out by some human), usually in a nice sunny spot on the street, and this is where GC found him. we all know the story from then on.

    See I really like this because it almost seems like everyone wants a “miracle” being made for some item that will solve their life’s dilemmas and make them happy, but it’s the small things like being together for the holidays that makes life worth living.

    Glitch’s mother is in the bin when the light appears,
    but disappears after the next scene.
    However, she also licks off glitch’s snow,
    which is impossible to happen naturally due to the cold winter and how metal’s temperature highly depends on the atmosphere.

    This concludes to :
    IDK. Maybe she’s real. Maybe she isn’t.
    It’s a miracle none the less.

    I work with feral and stray cats in my city, and we just got through winter to a new kitten season (already saw a litter that an allied group is fostering yesterday!). I also just barely started reading this webcomic today.

    It really is impressive how quickly stray and feral kittens, if you start early enough, will socialize. And it really is dangerous out in the world, and a lot of queens don’t last the next season, for whatever reason; hard labor and deliveries, cars, dogs, humans…

    Anyway, this was really heartwarming and I teared up reading it. Aw Glitch ;u; what a good mamacat, taking care of her kitten even after she’s gone.

    This is probably one of the top five holiday comics I’ve ever read. Thank you.

    I bet Glitch’s mom died a long time ago, and was a figment, but somehow her ghost was a warm spirit, and kept him from freezing, and possibly led Malcom to the trash can subconsiusly? This comic could contain lots of hidden meanings and conspirisy theories. (Sorry for my terrible spelling)

    For the people that are reading this after seeing Pixel (Player 4), I have a theory. It’s long, though, so get ready.

    A young, near-sighted she-cat had a litter of kittens. Like most mother cats, her human took her kittens away from her and sold them. One, though, ended up getting left on the street, too young to remember his mother, the person that separated them, or the person that was supposed to take him home. The young cat took care of himself, living in a trash can and caring for himself as well as he could.

    One day, while searching for food in his trash can, he saw something strangely new looking. After picking it up, he saw it was a gaming system with a game in the port: Pokemon Fire Red. He sat down and started playing, learning the controls swiftly. Another evening passed as he played his new game, and soon, he saw a black cat with a red bandanna leaving the local game store. After meeting and befriending him, he finally found a new home. With this home, he got a name:

    Glitch.

    He went on with his life and new partners, as any normal cat would.

    His mother, on the other hand, mourned the loss of her kittens. After finding out one of them had gone missing entirely, she was sent into a panic and went looking for him. On the days before Christmas she was even more determined to find her son. She would not let his first Christmas be wasted out in the streets. It was not long before she got trapped in the snow. She continued her search, and eventually, found a piece of paper with messy writing scrawled on it.

    “Dear Santa,
    Pleeze bring me a miracle.
    -Glitch”

    The scent on the paper matched her own, and it only egged her on to find her son. So she continued her search valiantly. Though, she lost her glasses in the process.

    Soon a familiar mewling called out. She ran to it as fast as she could, eager to see her child again. She saw him, clad in a small yellow sweater with no wear or tear to it. He seemed so well cared for.

    But she promised herself, “Never again will I lose him.” She protected him through the night, saying nothing. She needed to keep him warm.

    “Glitch! Glitch, where are you? Please, just come out and say something!” Another cat called through the snow. With that voice calling, she realized. The note. The name. The sweater. He was happy and cared for, wherever he was. And someone else was looking for him too. Who was she to take her son away from that happiness?

    So she ran. He would be happy where he was, she could tell. And she was happy to know he was safe.

    “Glitch! There you are!” The cat said, looking into the trash can she just narrowly escaped. She looked back to the place, smiling as Glitch was taken back home.

    Her human greeted her home warmly. She carefully climbed onto his lap and purred at the warmth and happiness of having seen her son once again. Her human spoke calmly, petting her.

    “Hello, Pixel.”
