I only played it a bunch because I heard there was some kind of bloody turnaround at the end. Little did I realize that there was, but it doesn’t end. Ever. AND YOU’LL NEVER STOP.
I think, perhaps, that this “bloody turnaround” is the fact that all your grannys turn into zombies, you must protect your cookies from aliens, and you get blood milk and brain cookies.
it is the grandmapocalypse. you have to buy the heavenly upgrade that makes a bingo centre/research lab and then keep purchasing the upgrades that it gives. it will turn your grandmas into demons. sort of.
It’s a cute diversion to try once. I did notice, based on what things cost versus how many cookies they generate, that there might be an optimal play method lurking under the maths, but I couldn’t be arsed to figure it out.
I felt tricked, as at first it seems like a joke about games that just make you click, but then I could never buy anything to click reindeer, golden cookies and “buy grandma”!
a Dark Room actually has a mobile app now, the game play is a little different as far as a few numbers go, but the main benefit is that you can actually tell how much an operation costs such as buying a map or what is gain/lost in an event.
Quick, someone grab the pixie while the rest of us shove Planetary Annihilation, Gunpoint, Antichamber and other great indie games in front of Gamercat. If we move fast we can save him before the pixie introduces him to casual mobile gaming.
on the subject of PA, as much as I love Uber Ent, I’m not gonna get it, they REALLY let down their whole fan base the way they straight up abandoned SMNC even after they said that PA would not interfere with it…
Thanks to you, I started playing yesterday. I’m already at about 106 million CPS. I have no idea if that means I’m advancing quickly, slowly, or at the normal rate.
I made the mistake of trying it the other day . . . it has been running in the background on my computer for over 45 hours. The stuff I’ve seen, man. o.o;
On that note, I just had the realization that it’s not far off from how I played roller coaster tycoon. Build awesome park, then eff off for about an hour while it runs. Rinse and repeat.
I somehow managed to break my Cookie Clicker problem, by getting caught in the insidious Sandcastle Builder which it inspired. I wonder what GaMERCaT would think of Sandcastle Builder.
damn you i’ve been playing this for 80 hours now and have 7,054,834,318.3 CPS and have made a total of 1.5 quadrillion cookies so far, i can’t stop, its so addicting.
addictive, yes
lame, a bit
but think about this, when you get enough cookies, it plays itself.
And you can play other games, so you can basically play games while the computer play another game.
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Noob. I have One Mind running in the background for one thing: Those worm things are called Wrinklers, click them 3 times and see what happens.
I dont think Cookie Clicker (or the majority of idle games…) meets this standard, but the aim of an idle game is long-term strategy. And math. Lots of math.
This is the second post I’ve seen, but its when I started following the comic. Your comic is hilarious! I like your simple and uncluttered art style. I like how you focus on lots of different kinds of gaming and bring in the character development. Nice. And there’s dancing!! Commenters… awwwww… of all three comment systems I have tried, none recognize the “commenters.” 3: /
did anyone here know that there is an achievement for getting 1 million cookies without clicking the cookie once? you just have to wait for golden cookies to come click the for cookies then once you have 15 from golden cookies, buy a cursor.

I don’t see the point in it either. But that’s the point! Maybe he will find the fun of no point to the “one mind” upgrade.

NO POINT IN ONE MIND? Wait a while with those worm things on the cookie, then pop them fast 3 times.

…why did you introduce me to this game…
trobl
The sad state that games have become today. pointless point-and-click games with not plot or point than to kill and/or waste time.
*sigh* as frustrating as the older games were, I loved them and miss them dearly. Even puzzle games and time killers were harder back then.
Areyoustupid?
Not all new games are like that.
